Edit Mesh (Separate vertex, edge)

Separate V

Separating with Separate detaches as a separate object. However, there are times when you want to detach locally.

In that case, select the desired area,

Press

V

and,

you can detach the selected vertex portion partially. The above image shows that after separation, it was moved using G to make it more visible.

It’s like a knife tool. Pressing V allows you to drag it directly with the mouse. At this point, you can use X, Y, Z to move it in those axes.
